Hearing Loss: Its not JUST an EAR problem...it is a communication issue that affects you, your loved ones, your friends and your co-workers. Judy Kurz is the Hearing
Loss Resource Specialist at The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center in
Corpus Christi, Texas. She serves 19 counties in the Lower Rio Grande
region. Mrs. Kurz has a degree in Social Work, and she has a Support
Specialist certification from the Hearing Loss Association of America.
She is a member of Corpus Christi’s Mayor’s Council on Aging, the Alice
Community Coalition for Children and Families and she is a member of the
South Texas Social Worker’s Society. Mrs. Kurz is an experienced
presenter on topics related to hearing loss, which include: Sensitivity
Training, Communication Strategies, Assistive Technology, and
Resources. Mrs. Kurz is the parent of a deaf daughter and has been
involved professionally with special populations for over 20 years. Fairs and Events
Hearing Loss Services provided at the Alice Chamber of Commerce in
Alice, Texas. January thru September on the 2nd Tuesday of each
