SOUND OF THE SEA SCULPTURE
This beautiful artwork, designed by Dr. Sherman T. Coleman, a former member of the Board of Trustees, was created to help raise funds for The Corpus Christi Area Council for the Deaf, a non-profit organization serving the deaf and hard of hearing communities since 1978. In his bronze sculpture, Dr. Coleman captures a view of a young boy who is deaf on the beach with his mother. The boy holds a conch shell to his mother's ear as she explains in sign language that the shell makes the sound of the sea. The bronze stands 11" tall and rests on a beautiful 2" wooden base for a height of 13".
